Death Canyon Shelf, GTNP's Images

Wyoming, USA
Description: Wonderful quality limestone boulders. Some are HUGE. Not a hold broke on me while i was there. Very remote. Not a parking lot or road within 10 miles. Boulders fell from large cliffband above.   History: Not many people have climbed there, but many people backpack across it. It is on the Teton Crest Trail. If you do this trail, BRING A PAD!!
Camping: You can camp right below the boulders for two nights at a time with a permit, or you can camp in VERY nearby National Forest. The National Forest is on either side of the shelf, to the south Fox Creek, and to the north Teton Shelf, which has plenty of boulders on it's own.
