Minnehaha's Images

Washington, USA
Description: Granite cliffs, outcroppings, and boulders on Upriver Drive near Spokane, Washington. Minnehaha is the traditional name, but John H. Shields Park is what the sign says. Lots of top ropes, sport, trad, bouldering and condoms, beer cans, and some trash. The area is treed and hilly. In 2003, the rampant graffiti was removed by sandblasting, restoring various problems and routes and returning Minnehaha to a more natural state. Routes and problems are available up to 5.13 and V10ish. There is a good mix of moderates.   History: Climbing has gone on here for ages.
Camping: Not officially. Some people do so occasionally when passing through. Find a hotel/motel or someone to crash with.
